As a child, I dreamed of having a career that combined my passions and hobbies. At university in Japan, I studied communication and advertising, which led to my first job at an advertising agency. There, I gained experience in marketing and developed a growing interest in computer graphics. After moving to Australia, I transitioned into a career as a graphic designer.

However, after getting married and having children, I found it impossible to return to my high-pressure, deadline-driven job. I spent the next few years fully occupied with raising my kids, until one day, while preparing a birthday cake for my daughter, I discovered the world of sugar crafting. I became fascinated by fondant modeling, particularly the art of making figurines. What started as a hobby quickly grew into a passion, and before long, I was creating custom pieces for friends and members of my community. And that’s how my business was born.

Eight years later, I’ve always described my work as an extension of my hobby. But today, I’ve had a change of heart and am embracing the idea of fully turning it into a business. Today marks the beginning of a new chapter in my journey. I’m grateful to have a job I love, with my own workspace filled with art supplies—something I’ve dreamed of my entire life. Slowly but surely, my dream is becoming a reality.

Now, my ultimate goal is to spread joy by bringing smiles to even more faces through my creations. That, to me, is the dream come true.
